Astrology is inherently the study of rhythms. In its application, we can better work with the day-to-day energy to prevent burnout, manage stress levels, and overall have more fulfilling and less draining shifts. Healthcare workers are already well acquainted with the rhythms of the floors and units on which they work.
So, let these pages be a guide to you as you learn to work in harmony with the cosmic rhythms to find where self-care and patient-care meet and unite. That place they meet is the place where magick happens.
Astrology can also fill in the gaps left by modern medicine to better serve the needs of our patients and loved ones. By creating a conscious healing environment for patients and loved ones, we are also creating a healing environment in which to work inside.
Finally, in an industry that continually places profits over patients and actively works against the well-being of staff, we must rely upon all the available tools to avoid moral injury and burnout. We must also rely upon one another in community. Let astrology become another tool as you navigate the turbulent waters of changing a broken system from within.
